Workshop with Long Beach Community Media Arts at PLACE LB
INTRO TO WHEATPASTING

Today more than ever we have to raise our voices and denounce our disagreements, our concerns and anger. The current socio-political climate deserves it and printmaking has always existed as a medium capable of capturing those ideas repetitively to reach the masses.

In this workshop you will learn how to create a poster with a socio-political theme, applying linocut and printing techniques with foam sheets, and how to prepare wheatpasting mix to stick it on surfaces such as walls. It is recommended to bring a sketch of no more than 4 x 6 to work from. No experience needed. Open to ages 15+.
